Our
Dentists
Dr. Mark Atkinson
BDS (Glasgow)
GDC no.: 151966
Mark graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2008 and is the owner and principal dentist of London Road Dental Practice. He originates from the Lake District.
Over the past 10 years, he has gained a wealth of clinical experience through working in a busy NHS practice. He loves travelling and has previously worked as a mobile voluntary dentist in Ecuador, travelling around the country helping local patients out of dental pain who would not normally have access to a dentist.
Mark is able to offer treatment under sedation for nervous patients who feel unable to cope with treatment without assistance.
Together with his wife Ee Ying, he spends his spare time relaxing with their two young daughters.
Dr. Ee Ying Ooi

Born and bred in Malaysia, Ee Ying moved to sunny Glasgow to pursue her dental training, graduating with Commendation in 2008. With her husband Mark, she is the co-owner of London Road Dental Practice.
After a stint as a Senior House Officer in the Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery Department in Plymouth, she has been working as a dentist in general practice in the Bristol area.
She is passionate about continually updating her skills and knowledge to keep abreast of the advances in dentistry. In 2012, she completed the Advanced Implantology Course in Dentale and in 2015, she gained her Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies with Merit from the University of Bristol.
She is a member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners, Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Dr. Ali Yousuf
BDS (Bristol) MFDS RCPS (Glasgow)

Ali graduated from the University of Bristol in 2014 where he was awarded the prestigious award for technical excellence. He has continued to demonstrate this throughout his clinical practice. He was recently accepted as a member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow after completing the Diploma of Membership of the Faculty of Dental Surgery.
Since qualifying, Ali has attended various post-graduate courses to keep up to date with cutting-edge dentistry. He has a special interest in anterior alignment orthodontics specifically using invisible cosmetic braces to straighten teeth such as Invisalign Aligners. He has a passion for cosmetic dentistry where his latest venture involves intensive central London based training in aesthetic and restorative dentistry. This covers areas such as aesthetic crowns and veneers, bleaching, prosthetic restorations, composite restorations (white fillings) and restoration of the worn dentition.
Ali’s friendly manner puts you at ease and he works hard to make sure his patients leave thoroughly satisfied from his surgery. He has a strong focus on attention to detail and prides himself in delivering a high standard of care.
Outside of dentistry Ali enjoys a variety of sports and spending time with his wife and two children.
Dr. Vanessa Neves

Vanessa joined our team in November 2019 to provide dental care for our patients, both new and existing.
Vanessa was born in Canada and moved to Portugal with her family at a young age. She graduated from the Faculty of Dentistry of Lisbon with a Masters Degree in Dentistry and has been working in the southwest of England for the past four years.
As the daughter of a dental nurse, she was introduced to dentistry at a tender age and loves all aspects of it. She is particularly passionate about looking after children and nervous patients.
In her free time, Vanessa enjoys music, cinema visits, photography and most of all, travelling.
Dr. Katerina Kokori
DipDS Thessaloniki

Katerina graduated in 2013 from the Dental School of Thessaloniki in Greece, after spending over three years working alongside a professor of maxillofacial surgery. She moved to England in 2016 and worked in a busy NHS practice for four years before making her move to private dentistry.
She thoroughly enjoys general dentistry, especially in helping nervous patients overcome their fear of the dentist.
However, her true passion lies in facial aesthetics, using advanced techniques in botulinum toxin and dermal fillers to enhance patients' facial structures as well as to correct functional problems such as migraine and temporomandibular joint pain. She was made an ambassador of the prestigious Dr Bob Khanna Facial Aesthetics Training Institute after demonstrating outstanding skills throughout her training. To perfectly complement this, she is also able to help patients improve their smiles with cosmetic dentistry.
In her free time, Katerina enjoys going to the gym, reading, playing the piano and taking her gorgeous German shepherd for long walks.
Dr. Asfi Ghauri

Born and bred in Bristol, Asfi excelled in school, earning himself a place in the highly-esteemed King's College Dental Institute in London. During his time at King's, he was presented with the Award for Outstanding Professionalism and was elected the Dental Head of the Kind's College Clinical Specialities Society.
Upon completion of his illustrious training, he spent a few years working as a general dentist in a practice in Bristol, honing his skills and gaining more experience. Always keen to add more strings to his bow, he is now a certified Invisalign provider and is currently enrolled onto the distinguished Chris Orr's Cosmetic Dentistry and Aesthetic Restorative Dentistry course.
Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends and is often roped in to babysit for Dr Ali Yousuf's two little ones, who happen to be his niece and nephew.

Hygienists
Charlotte Spooner
Diploma in Dental Hygiene

Charlotte is a motivated and enthusiastic Dental Hygienist with a passion for connecting with her patients. She spent four years working as a dental nurse before training as a Dental Hygienist at the University of Bristol in 2017.
During her time there, she was involved in the treatment of many advanced cases of gum disease. She aims to provide pain-free hygiene treatment to all of her patients.
Natalie Stirland
Diploma in Dental Hygiene

Natalie graduated as a Dental Hygienist from the University of Bristol in 2020, having spent four years working as a dental nurse prior to that. She is very patient-focussed when delivering oral hygiene & care advice and gentle with nervous patients.
Natalie lives with her husband in Chippenham and during her spare time, enjoys walks in the Brecon Beacons, cooking and baking.

Nurses
Laura Jones
GDC no.: 190605
Laura joined the London Road Dental Practice team in 2008 as a full-time trainee dental nurse and qualified in 2010. Since then, she has completed her oral health education certificate and been on various implant and sedation courses.
Laura has two boys and works part time at the practice as Clinical Lead Nurse.
Her interests outside of work are football (Bristol Rovers FC!), shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Claire Reynolds

Claire started as a Receptionist in a busy NHS dental practice in 2011. After a couple of years, she decided to take on the challenge of dental nursing. She qualified with a Diploma in Dental Nursing in 2014 and has worked in both NHS and private practices.
Claire joined London Road Dental Practice in September 2019 as a part-time dental nurse. She is a mum of two and enjoys spending time with her family, cinema trips, comedy events, shopping and family holidays to Cornwall.
Laura Starling

Laura joined London Road Dental Practice in March 2020 after qualifying in 2015. She has previously trained and worked as a Dental Nurse in a private practice in Bath.
Laura lives in Chippenham with her husband and young daughter. She enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
Sasha Bellaera

Sasha joined London Road Dental Practice in August 2020 after qualifying in June 2017. She is very enthusiastic in all aspects of general dental nursing and has previously mentored trainee nurses, been a head nurse, first aider, fire marshal and has undertaken further training in impression-taking and conscious sedation.
She lives with her partner in Corsham and loves Italian food.
Kriti Tamang

Kriti joined the team in December 2023 after relocating to Lyneham with her military husband. Coming from a background in social care, Kriti decided to make a career change and retrain as a dental nurse, qualifying in 2021. She has settled in very well to life in Wiltshire.
Jessica Hewer
Having worked in the social care sector since 2016, Jessica decided to embark on a new career pathway and joined London Road Dental Practice as a Trainee Dental Nurse in November 2022. She has adapted very quickly to her new role and is looking forward to completing her Diploma in Dental Nursing.
Dipti Gurung
GDC no.: 282931
Dipti joined the team in January 2024 after relocating to Lyneham with her military husband. She qualified in Dental Nursing in 2016 and has since completed a course in Dental Radiography. She has transitioned seamlessly into the day-to-day workings of the practice.

Receptionist
Rebecca Hillyard
Having spent many years working in the retail and pharmaceutical sector as Team Leader and Store Manager, Rebecca joined London Road Dental Practice in December 2022. She has very quickly learned the ropes on the reception desk is always happy to assist patients and colleagues.
Sue Chester
Sue joined the team in January 2024 to provide maternity cover for Rebecca. She has a background in IT and has worked for many years as a receptionist in a private medical centre. Sue is into fitness, photography and scuba diving. Word of warning: Do not mess with Sue, she has a brown belt in Karate.
