Dr Amir Savage BDS MFGDP DPDS MFDS MClinDent MRD MCGI FDS RCSEd FCMI GDC: 67707

Amir graduated from Edinburgh University in 1992 and started his career as a general dental practitioner undergoing vocational training in Scotland. He joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1993 and had a varied and interesting career in the RAF within the UK and abroad. He became a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK) in 1996 and expanded his general practice experience as a Senior Dental Officer running and managing several dental clinics.

In addition to practice management, Dr Savage started specialist training at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2004 and successfully achieved the MClinDent in Periodontology in addition to the MRD from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2007. After the completion of specialist training he was appointed as Wing Commander and Clinical Director of the Military School of Dental Training training military dental nurses and hygienists. He strongly believes in team training and has also served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and as a project supervisor for the University of Kent MSc in Primary Dental Care.

In 2012 Dr Savage retired from the RAF went into independent practice. He currently accepts referrals for periodontal (gum) and implant treatments from local dentists in London and the South West.

London Road Dental Practice is a new phase in his career and his plans are to expand and improve its current services (building on the hard work and excellent dentistry of Dr Catton-Taylor and Dr Wilson) to make it the best and first choice for dental care in Chippenham and its surrounds.

Outside Dentistry, Amir Savage is passionate about sport and  he was awarded the Edinburgh University blue for athletics after winning the national Scottish 400 meter junior championships.

More recently! Amir also does salsa dancing and he keeps fit running, circuit/weight training and has completed the 2016 London Marathon.
