Nigel qualified in 1997 at the University of Sheffield and has 18 years of experience as a dentist; part of this was as a flying dentist in the outback of Australia!
In Nigel’s spare time he enjoys cooking with his specialities being Indian food and bread making. He is new to the area and is looking forward to exploring the beautiful Wiltshire countryside.
Nigel will be accepting new private patients.
Amir graduated from Edinburgh University in 1992 and started his career as a general dental practitioner undergoing vocational training in Scotland. He joined the Royal Air Force (RAF) in 1993 and had a varied and interesting career in the RAF within the UK and abroad. He became a Member of the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners (UK) in 1996 and expanded his general practice experience as a Senior Dental Officer running and managing several dental clinics.
In addition to practice management, Dr Savage started specialist training at the Eastman Dental Institute in 2004 and successfully achieved the MClinDent in Periodontology in addition to the MRD from the Royal College of Surgeons Edinburgh in 2007. After the completion of specialist training he was appointed as Wing Commander and Clinical Director of the Military School of Dental Training training military dental nurses and hygienists. He strongly believes in team training and has also served as an examiner for the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) and as a project supervisor for the University of Kent MSc in Primary Dental Care.
In 2012 Dr Savage retired from the RAF went into independent practice. He currently accepts referrals for periodontal (gum) and implant treatments from local dentists in London and the South West.
London Road Dental Practice is a new phase in his career and his plans are to expand and improve its current services (building on the hard work and excellent dentistry of Dr Catton-Taylor and Dr Wilson) to make it the best and first choice for dental care in Chippenham and its surrounds.
Outside Dentistry, Amir Savage is passionate about sport and he was awarded the Edinburgh University blue for athletics after winning the national Scottish 400 meter junior championships.
More recently! Amir also does salsa dancing and he keeps fit running, circuit/weight training and has completed the 2016 London Marathon.
Ross graduated from King’s College, London, and worked in a number of London teaching hospitals and district general hospitals. In 2000, he gained the MFDS RCS (Eng) qualification from the Royal College of Surgeons.
Ross is also a member of the Association of Dental Implantologists, and SAAD (Society for the Advancement of Anesthesia in Dentistry), and can offer sedation dentistry for nervous patients.
Ross has attended many postgraduate training courses including certification in surgical and prosthodontic implantology from the Eastman Dental Institute and has particular interests in oral surgery and dental implants.
Ross is married and has two children.
Aneel qualified at the University of Bristol in 2010 and has worked in Bristol and the surrounding areas ever since. In 2012 he joined the Royal College of Surgeons with the MJDF postgraduate qualification. He furthered his postgraduate training by gaining a Masters degree in Dental Implantology from the University of Bristol. He has also received a number of prizes in the field of dental implants, most recently having won the scientific poster competition at the national Association of Dental Implantology conference in 2017.
Aneel enjoys providing all aspects of dentistry for his patients, and has a special interest in dental implants and the many benefits they offer in replacing missing teeth. His gentle and caring approach quickly puts nervous patients at ease. In his spare time Aneel likes to play sports and is currently training for his brown belt in Jujitsu. Aneel also loves to travel and spend time with his young family.
Aneel is a member of the Association of Dental Implantology and the International Team for Implantology.
Laura joined the London Road Dental Practice team in 2008 as a full time trainee dental nurse and qualified in 2010. Since then, she has completed her oral health education certificate and been on various implant and sedation courses. Laura has a little boy and works part time at the practice as Clinical Lead Nurse and alongside Natasha taken on more of a role in the administration and running of the practice. In the future she would like to progress onto becoming a treatment coordinator.
Her interests outside of work are football (Bristol Rovers FC!), shopping and spending time with family and friends.
Natasha started working at the London Road Dental Practice in 2007 as a trainee dental nurse completing her qualification in 2009. She then started to learn more about the business itself, and helped plan the sterilisation room and produce policies and procedures within the practice. She became senior nurse and completed an introductory award to practice management. She has two children and works on a part time basis job-sharing with Laura Bailey-Watts.
In her current role of Practice Supervisor she has taken on more practice administration and the business side of the practice. With this in mind she will be completing an NVQ level four in business management.
In her spare time (she doesn’t have any, she has children!) Natasha enjoys playing hockey, the occasional run and painting.
Vicky started as a trainee dental nurse in 2012 and gained a qualification in dental nursing in 2013.
Before joining London Road Dental Practice in early 2015 she worked in the NHS where she did general dental nursing but mainly worked with the Orthodontist.
Vicky is interested in cross infection control, surgical and orthodontics and hopes to go on to do courses in these areas.
As well as her dental nursing course Vicky has also completed a radiography course.
Out of work, Vicky enjoys spending time with her family and friends, going on daytrips, reading and watching films.
Shelley has worked within the dental industry for 34 years and seen lots of changes over the years . She started as a dental nurse then went on to become a receptionist and has experienced various improvements with dentistry and technology. She has many interests outside of work including gardening, art and spending lots of time with her 3 grandchildren.
